‘Everything is awesome when you're part of a team!' Some pictures from the hugely popular Lego Church! We welcomed over 23 families for a service including story, Lego building, Lego song and Lego prayers, delicious refreshments and all with a focus on Teamwork. Thanks to everyone who came and contributed Lego and was part of the very enjoyable and sociable  afternoon service. It was a delight to see so many children having a fun and so many awesome Lego models.

Everyone enjoyed a fun and busy afternoon at the Advent Activity Tea making reindeer crispy cakes, a pocket-sized nativity, streamers for St Peter's Church and stained-glass windows. Not to mention the quiz and delicious tea! Grown-ups could enjoy a mince pies and a glass of mulled wine too. A huge thanks to those who came on the day to help and also to those who contributed to the tea and helped to make it a success.

A fabulous morning was had by all at the Night time Nature Holiday Club morning. Children had lots of fun making flappy owls, batty cakes and hedgehog homes in the churchyard. We learnt new things about nocturnal animals, including some of their sounds, and discovered that they are hidden treasurers in the night. We shared the parable of the hidden treasure linking it to God's love there for us to find. This line was part of a verse written by Dee who came and led us in song at the end. A huge thank you to everyone who helped to make this happen and of course the children and their families who came! Zoe

Forest Church on October 9th was held in St Nicholas Churchyard on a sunny autumn afternoon. 14 adults attended and 12 children. We explored the world of Fungi through doing a quiz, making clay toadstools, a trail around the churchyard, making mushroom soup over the firepit and toasting bread rolls to eat with the soup. Tim Yeomans, as always organised and supervised the firepit.

Richard shared about the amazing world of fungi and how they form an underground web of connections. We explored how we were connected to each other as Christians and created our own web with wool. Zoe led us in prayer.

Our next Forest Church will be at St James Churchyard in South Wraxall on Sunday 20th November 3pm-5pm.

Some pictures from Forest Church last Sunday. We shared the Parable of the Mustard Seed and then reflected on the story in different ways including sketching, creating birds’ nests and making popcorn over the fire in the glorious afternoon sunshine in St James churchyard.              Zoe

On Good Friday, over 20 children and their families joined us for a lovely morning of activities, beading, playdoh, designing Easter story pebbles and wheels, and creating a giant cardboard tomb complete with a rolling door! We gathered together to create an Easter garden and to reflect on Holy week and then shared hot cross buns together. We were delighted to be joined by Barnaby who played his guitar while we sang at the end, joined by the walkers at the end of their Walk of Witness. A big thank you to everyone who was involved. Zoe

Palm Sunday Forest Church

A special Palm Sunday Forest Church was held at St. Peter's, Monkton Farleigh. We processed from the Village Hall with Darcy the Donkey! Zoe shared the story of Palm Sunday along the way. We lined the path and waved our palms, singing together. In the churchyard we created a  giant cross with our palms. Zoe showed us how to make our own Palm crosses. We toasted marshmallow on a fire pit and we enjoyed a cup of tea and squash together. Richard shared a thought around the cross and we ended by praying together.      Tessa Mann

 Lego Church!

It was wonderful to welcome so many children and families at Lego Church last Sunday and see all the wonderful Lego creations being made. There were many new families and familiar faces which was great and the room was buzzing as the models were growing. Our focus was encouraging and building each other up as in I Thessalonians 5:11, while we were building with Lego and that we did; everyone was sharing, supporting each other and having fun! The Lego brick crispy cakes were a big hit too. We said Lego prayers and sang ‘The Wise Man Built his House Up On the Rock’ at the end. Thank you to all who came and to those who lent us Lego to use. Zoe
