St James’ Church - Holy Communion

Holy Communion is celebrated across the Benefice as a memorial of the death and resurrection of Jesus. During a Holy Communion Service we sing hymns or songs, listen and reflect on a Bible passage, pray together and share bread and wine.  The sharing of this special meal brings to mind Jesus' final meal with his friends, during which he passed round bread and a cup of wine and said ''do this in remembrance of me'.
