The role of Children’s and Families Worker is a new Christian ministry post to pioneer, develop and lead the delivery of the work with children and families in our churches. This is a new post and we would like to support and grow all-age activity based family services, encourage the Christian development of children through our three church schools, and support and lead the existing teams of children’s work volunteers who lead Collective Worship, Open the Book and pre-school toddler and carers groups.

Part Time Children’s and Families Worker

We are a small group of local Anglican churches, with a core focus at St Nicholas, Winsley. We are seeking to develop our ministry with children and families. We are looking  to build up our existing work, especially in our Church Schools , parent and toddler groups etc and develop fresh ways of reaching out to children and families so that they might grow in faith and feel a deeper sense of belonging to our local church communities.

Applicants should have appropriate qualifications, experience and be a practising Christian.

·         Salary:   £11k gross per annum (pro rata of £22K).  Any employee tax and NHI required will be deducted from this.

·         Hours of work: 18.5 hours per week flexibly.

·         Holiday:  Equivalent of 5 weeks including 8 Bank Holidays
